The Southeast group no longer exists. They formed a yahoo group called home for His glory.
The first step is to decide what type of homeschooler you will be. Will you go traditional and have daily lessons, or unschool and have them learn while their hands are busy....from there you can find a curriculum that works best for you.
I've found that typically, first time homeschoolers like to stick with one set curriculum for the first year, and then after that they branch out and pull from many curriculums.
Also, most curriculum's are made to teach varying ages/levels. They teach a basic skill, and then can be expanded for each age.
