The following characteristics describe our family:

How many children do you parent?

Favorite Books, Movies, and Music:
I received the Amazon "Kindle" for Christmas this year, which enables my addiction for books! I am currently reading.. That's My Son" How Moms Can Influence Boys to Become Men of Character by Rick Johnson and I think it is turning out to be truly one of my all time favorite parenting books! On Becoming Preteen Wise (Parenting Your Child from Eight to Twelve Years) by Gary Ezzo and Robert Bucknam, MD., The Gift of Forgiveness by Charles Stanley, When Godly People Do Ungodly Things by Beth Moore. My favorite bible study leader...Beth Moore and currently am studying "Esther".
Other Things About Me and My Family:
We are blended but not really. We are in the unique position, that my two sons came into our marriage early enough to "adopt" my husband as their dad and vice versa. Their bio dad isn't in the picture. My step-daughter's parents were never married and really loved having the nuclear family. She spends her summers with us. In the two years of our marriage we have had the blessings of all 3 children being baptized!
This year I have had the privilege of being able to send my boys to a classical cottage school two days a week and have them home schooled the other three days.
I have one son that is a lego maniac and another son that loves to hit a dirt trail on a bike and loves any type of animal. So far we have a dog, cat, turtle and lizard. I think a snake might be next!
